Defeats St. Bonaventure in Regional Final

Following a victory over Pitt in the round of 16, Dartmouth Rugby took on St. Bonaventure on Sunday for the opportunity to represent the Northeast in the D1-AA Final 4. The Bonnies proved to be a tough opponent for the Big Green with their solid pack play and kicking game in the soggy conditions. But the Big Green hung tough and eventually came out on top, 30-22.

Eliminated from Varsity Cup

On a beautiful spring Saturday in Annapolis, Dartmouth Rugby took on Navy in the first round of the inaugural Varsity Cup, an 8-team, single elimination invitational tournament for some of the most storied sides in US collegiate rugby. The Big Green fought hard, matching the physicality of the Midshipmen and creating multiple scoring opportunities. But unfortunately for the men from Hanover, they lacked the precision with their final pass and were unable to put points on the board, ultimately falling to Navy 32-0 and exiting the tournament.

Move on to D1-AA Sweet Sixteen

This past Saturday, the Dartmouth Rugby secured a 6th consecutive Ivy League Championship defeating Brown 32-3 on Brophy Field in Hanover. The Bears gave the Big Green a tough matchup, but Dartmouth refused to be denied the championship and an automatic bid into the D1-AA playoffs.

HANOVER, NH—Dartmouth Men’s Rugby kicked off their spring season on a windy day in Hanover with a victory over Princeton in the semi-final round of the Ivy Rugby Playoffs. The Tigers proved to be a test for Dartmouth, putting the Big Green in difficult positions throughout the game, but Dartmouth still walked off Brophy Field with a 29-12 victory.
